Illustrator and visual storyteller exploring clarity, awareness, and everyday wisdom.
Hey, I'm Nellie
Hey, hi - I'm Nellie
I'm a French-born illustrator based in Berlin
- and a mother of two.
After years in the corporate and startup world,
I felt the need to slow down and live more intentionally.
At 35, I returned to school to study illustration
and design for 3 years at AiD Berlin.
Not to change myself - but to realign.

Why ŌKUMO
I was searching for clarity
in the noise of everyday life.
Moving countries, becoming a mother, navigating change - everything led me to ask quieter questions.
What truly matters?
What remains when the noise disappears?
ŌKUMO emerged from that search.

My work
I choose restraint and silence deliberately.
Less color. Less decoration. Fewer elements.
Because reduction creates space.
In that space, I find awareness.
To pause.
To see more clearly.
